Islands and Halligen

On Sylt, Föhr, Amrum, Helgoland and the Halligen, summer holidays end earlier and autumn holidays start earlier than the standard schedule. The region selector accounts for confirmed exceptions in the data.

Additional days off school

Schools determine movable holidays. The fallback dates above apply if schools have not agreed other days in time. The number of days applies to the school year, not the calendar year.

Which schools are covered

This is the state's standard schedule. Vocational schools and boarding Landesförderzentren may set other dates where the rules allow. Check the first school day after the holidays with your school.
